Happy spooky season! Today's update is a maintenance fix for bulk importing your Steam games. The Main Menu > Settings Menu > Import tab > Steam Games button now gives you the option to import all, installed, or recently played Steam games from your Steam profile. It uses the official Steam Web API to fetch your games list, which relies on the Anarchy Arcade website, so in case that ever goes down I also implemented a local fallback that can detects your installed Steam games without using the API. Today's update also includes the ability to fly a little drone around your arcade - similar to Camera Fly Mode, except you can crash into walls & blow up. :) To use it, the console command is: sow_fly_xwing AArcade Core & AASource64 Earlier this year, I started work on migrating AArcade: Source onto the 64bit version of the Source engine. I'm calling it AArcade: Source 64. It has VR support, greatly improved load times, improved performance, increased object limits, and much more. AASource64 required I do a massive re-write of AArcade: Source in order to implement a 64-bit compatible UI. So while I was at it, I implemented a lot of other improvements & fixes to help carry Anarchy Arcade into the years ahead. Source engine will remain the primary Anarchy Arcade client, but soon it will be able to be modded into any number of engines. And you'll be able to take your media library into each one. AArcade Core is what will make this possible, which separates the core functionality of AArcade and makes it something that is embeddable itself into not only Source engine, but any OpenGL or DirectX game that is open source. I'll be announcing AArcade Core and AArcade: Source 64 here on Steam later this year with much more details. And with its release, Anarchy Arcade will be within reach of coming out of Early Access. :) Change Log [*] Fixed Import Steam Games to work using the official API. [*] Added Steam games import options for: All, Installed, or Recently Played. [*] Added fallback to locally detect installed games when there's no internet. [*] Added remote control drones you can fly around with the command sow_fly_xwing

Today's update just expands the vcredist and directx redistributables to work on a wider range modern systems. Microsoft has depreciated some of the older redistributables, so today's update tries to bring things back up-to-date to address some issues some users were encountering. These changes don't have an impact on actual gameplay, but may help some users avoid errors when launching into the game. Added were: - DirectX June 2010 - Visual C++ Redist 2010 Plus the already existing one which was: - Visual C++ Redist 2013

Merry Christmas & happy holidays arcaders! Today's small update fixes an old issue w/ the leavers in HUB maps that would cause them to randomly crash when pulled. :S It also adds the ability to have a confirmation message displayed when you customize items w/ drag & drop. (You'd have to turn it on first in Main Menu > Settings > UI tab > Drag & Drop Item Update Confirmation.) This particular feature was a request from the last AArcade Meetup event we had. As always, if you need any help or just want to connect w/ myself & the community, you are invited to join us in the AArcade Discord: https://discord.gg/9FSCDuJ Party on! Change Log [*] Fixed instability of levers in hub_ maps. [*] Added an update item confirmation menu that gives you a chance to cancel your drag & drop item update. [*] Added Drag & Drop Item Update Confirmation to the UI tab of the Settings menu. [*] Added a scroll bar to the UI tab of the Settings menu.
Hello arcaders! This update fixes an issue that was causing in-game web tabs to crash AArcade when they were opening up on the newest version of the Steam Client. This hotfix should avoid the issue for now w/ only the small side-effect of the 1st frame rendered onto web tab cabinet being weird. If the next version of the Steam Client doesn't fix the root cause of the issue - I'll add in some code to fix this side-effect as well. Party on, y'all! Change Log [*] Patched a bug where the Steamworks web browser was misbehaving during the rendering of the 1st frame of a new web tab sometimes. (By skipping the rendering of the 1st frame.)
Greetings arcaders! Today's update adds an easier way to pick the avatar you want, the ability to randomly choose a media item, and several bug fixes. Avatar Menu The new Avatar Menu makes previewing & changing into your favorite avatar models easier. This is a feature for the more advanced users - because in order to use it, you must first build a favorites list of models that work as your avatar. Next, go to the Commands Tab (F7) and use the Avatar Menu command. That will open up the Avatar Menu & show a random selection of avatars from your specified favorites list. It's important to only have avatar models on the favorites list that you use, so you don't turn yourself into a burger or something. :) Also, remember it's a random selection of models from the list each time. So if you have a long list, you won't see *all* of the models *every* time. But you can just close the menu & re-open it to get a new random selection. Wheel Spin Sometimes you know what you want to play is right in front of you, but you can't decide which one to launch. The Wheel Spin command helps for this type of situation. To use the command, go to the Commands Tab (F7) and scroll all the way down to Wheel Spin. It will attempted to grab the items that are in front of you & put them onto a wheel, then seelect the one it lands on. Remember that you can bind your favorite commands to your Action Bar (0-9 on your keyboard) using the F7 menu as well. Bug Fixes Two noteworthy bug fixes in today's build are (1) a bug related to Always Animating Images that could cause some unrelated cabinet screens in the arcade to be zoomed in, and (2) TheMovieDb.org wizard is now fixed for spawning movies! Also note that currently some users who are opted into the Steam Beta are experiencing crash issues on webtabs. If you are in the Steam Beta & are experiencing such issues, opting out seems to fix it. The full change log is below. If you have any questions or need any help using AArcade, you are invited to join us in the Discord ( https://discord.gg/9FSCDuJ ). Happy Halloween everybody! Change Log [*] Added Wheel Spin to the Commands Tab. It will attempt to randomly select one of the objects that are in front of you in the world. [*] Added Avatar Menu to the Commands Tab. It works in combination with a custom favorites list that you keep your avatar models in. [*] Fixed an issue with Always Animating Images that caused some unrelated cabinets in the arcade to have their video texture zoomed in. [*] Fixed TheMovieDb.org wizard to work for movies again. (Note that the only other working wizard is still the Steam Store wizard at this time.) [*] Fixed a rare issue in the Library Browser that could prevent it from showing search results. (Thanks to Soulz Baen nodes. [*] Added console variable screenshot_multiverse 0. When set to 1, showcase mode will use any screenshot that was taken on the map regardless of which instance it was taken in.
Today's minor update adds new skins to the Hologram & Blend cabinets w/ animated & audio responsive materials. It also fixes a bug w/ spawning individual games from the Steam Store Wizard. Change Log [*] Added 10 new skins to the Hologram & Blend cabinets that have material animations (some are audio-responsive as well.) You can access them from the Transform Menu > Skins tab while positioning an object on a Hologram or Blend cabinet. (Note that these material animations work best on images that have black backgrounds along their edges.) [*] Added the console command "removejunkobjects" that clears all cheers & junk objects from the world. [*] Added support for slideshow URLs to be used in the Preview field of items. (However, you have to manually paste in the URL from a regular Slideshow item's file field for now.) [*] Improved Look At Me behavior to look at the view entity, not the player position. Fixed a bug with the Look At Me behavior so that child objects inside of nodes can Look At Me correctly. [*] Fixed the Steam Store wizard.
