Update 0.9.2: Your Room in mixed reality and the cannon

Domino VR ·

Domino VR 0.9.2 brings dominoes into your own room on the Steam Frame, a new prop that fires dominoes across gaps, and a few menu improvements. Your Room (mixed reality, Steam Frame) [*]New on the Sandbox page: Your Room . Build domino runs in your real room with passthrough. It works with the Frame's own cameras, and should work in full colour with an Arcturus Vision camera (I don't have one yet, so this is untested). [*]New Surface tool : touch the tip of the tool to a table and pull the trigger three times (a corner, the next corner, the far edge) to turn it into a surface dominoes can stand on. Your tables are remembered for next time. [*]Point the Surface tool at a marked table to get edit handles: drag the edges to resize it, move it (height too) or turn it. The face button removes it. [*]In your room you walk for real: teleporting, turning and resizing are switched off there. New prop: the cannon [*]A domino toppling onto the plate on its back fires a ball that knocks over a row somewhere else, so a chain can jump a gap. [*]While holding it, the stick tilts the barrel and a dotted arc shows where the ball lands. The trigger fires a test shot. Menus [*]The props menu shows a picture of each prop above its name. [*]The sandbox props menu now includes the crane (it was missing). [*]Menus now say "Steam Workshop" in full, so it is not confused with the Workshop world. Thanks for playing and for all the feedback. Keep it coming in the discussions!

Hotfix: PC VR startup

Domino VR ·

Fixed: with SteamVR (Valve Index and other PC headsets), the game could start in mouse-and-keyboard mode while the headset was also running. The game now waits for SteamVR and starts in VR properly. Changed: the wrist menu now sits a bit further from your hand, so it no longer clips through the tool. Thanks to everyone playtesting and sending feedback! I'm also looking at making menu text easier to read, especially on the main menu. More on that soon.

Update 0.2.2 - Objective mode test map

Domino VR ·

In this update I've added some new useful things as well as a new map to test objective mode on. Changelog: Added ball rolling contraption to objects table Added more "floating cube" type objects in various sizes to objects table Added changelog to the main menu. You should be able to see this in there right now :) Made main menu easier to use. No more turning around all the time, the menu will rotate for you Added testing objective map! This one was used just for development, but now you can try it and let me know what you think about the mechanics used

Update 0.2.0 - The big unity 5.4 update

Domino VR ·

This update was quite a bit of work, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Game performance should be way better. A new map was also added and some extra fun stuff. Be sure to provide feedback! http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/25857992/804c3744025ff35baaf14ef7f4c6dec84be242ae.jpg Changelog: Updated to Unity 5.4 for performance reasons - Started from scratch again, this took me hours Now using Valve's "The Lab renderer" for Adaptive quality and a bunch of extra performance! This will be re-added soon When scaling the world, menu & color picker distance now stays correct When scaling the world, your "ghost" domino on the right controller will now be the correct size Changed Main Menu domino sizes and spawn amounts Changed Main Menu mechanics Added new map! (forest island) - WIP, more maps will come Objects now get deleted properly when they go out of bounds Better game pause method. Objects will pause, but you can still interact with them while the main menu is open if you want or teleport Fixed a few bugs that could crash the game Added a way to go back to the main menu from the ingame menu WIP - Objective mode. Something for the next update... :) Added Timescale slider to ingame menu - Slooowwwmoooo fun! Added background to ingame menu for better readability Updated VRTK to the newest version (allows better grab features, pointers, etc.) Changed menu on left controller to use haptic feedback and 3 buttons - Big thanks to Kenney for the nice low poly models!

Update 0.0.2 - Specatator/screenshot camera!

Domino VR ·

So, I asked for you to provide me with some nice screenshots... If only you had the tools to do that! Well, now you do. You'll find a camera you can drag around the world, and use to show to spectators what you're doing. It also allows you to take screenshots (through that camera) in 1080p or 4K. You can find screenshots in this folder: STEAM_FOLDER\steamapps\common\DominoVR\DominoVR_Data\screenshots Be sure to send me some in the discussions!
